How Express Entry works ?
Express Entry is an online selection system for skilled workers who want to settle in Canada permanently. Federal government, provincial governments, and Canadian employers are involved in Express Entry and it is a complete electronic process.
Skilled workers in Canada or overseas can acquire permanent residency through the pathway of Express Entry. Express Entry is a fast process. Its processing time is around six months or less for potential skilled foreign workers. To be eligible for Express Entry pool, the applicant should meet the criteria of at least one of the three federal economic immigration programs.
There are three federal economic immigration programs under Express Entry:
Federal Skilled Worker Program
Skilled workers who want to Immigrate Canada permanently and having foreign work experience can apply under this program.
Federal Skilled Trades Program
Skilled workers who want to become permanent resident of Canada on the basis of their qualification in a skill trade can apply under Federal Skilled Trade Program.
Canadian Experience Class
Skilled workers with Canadian work experience want to become permanent residents of Canada can apply under Canadian Experience Class.
